Mamata Banerjee's big statement: 'BJP will go this time, don't wait till 2029'; She said- the game has started

New Delhi. Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday gave sharp statements about BJP and the Election Commission. He said that the opposition does not need to wait till the 2029 Lok Sabha elections and in the current political circumstances, change can happen soon. Mamta also appealed to the opposition INDIA alliance to move forward unitedly.

'BJP will go this time'

In the press conference, Mamata Banerjee said that she is confident that BJP will go this time and there is no need to wait till 2029. He said political circumstances can change rapidly and “the game has already begun.” However, he did not claim any specific timeline.

Can't tell what will happen in two-three months

Mamta said that she cannot say with certainty how long the current government will last. Referring to two, three or six months, he said that he is not an astrologer, but he expects some change soon. This is his political assessment and statement, not the conclusion of any independently verified election forecast.

What did INDIA say about the alliance?

The TMC chief said that the decisions of the opposition alliance will not be taken at the individual level, but collectively. He clarified that his party is with the INDIA alliance and whatever collective decision the alliance takes will be respected.

Target on SIR and Gyanesh Kumar

Mamata raised questions on the Election Commission regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. He reiterated the demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and talked about improving the election system. He also used political slurs like “Vanish Kumar” for CEC.

Claims 'we won by manipulation last time also'

Referring to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Mamata accused the BJP of achieving victory through election manipulation and said that it had not got the majority. This is Mamata Banerjee's political allegation; This cannot be considered as an established fact.

Opposition made joint strategy on SIR issue

Mamata's statement came a day after the meeting of opposition parties, in which leaders of the INDIA alliance had discussed joint programs regarding SIR. The opposition has agreed to a plan to organize a Save Democracy programme, march to the Election Commission office on October 6 and seek an appointment with the President.

At present, Mamata Banerjee has put forward her assessment regarding the possibility of political change, but has not announced any specific date or development. The further strategy of the INDIA alliance will also depend on its collective decisions.
