Mamta Banerjee’s strong message to the police and central forces, now they don’t recognize me, but remember I am the same after 29. – ..

News India Live, Digital Desk: Ahead of the second phase of West Bengal Assembly elections 2026, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has opened a front against the state police and Central Security Forces (CAPF). Addressing an election rally, Mamata Banerjee warned police officers to remain impartial and alleged that some policemen in the state were now working directly on the instructions of the BJP. He said in a sharp tone, “Today these policemen are not recognizing me, but remember that they have to stay here even after the elections.”

Central forces accused of intimidating The Chief Minister expressed surprise over the deployment of central forces in large numbers and the use of armored vehicles in Bengal. Taking aim at the central government, she asked, “Do they want to scare me by deploying so many security forces? I want to see whether the armored vehicles have more strength or the people of the state.” He alleged that central forces were helping the BJP in its efforts to influence voters and capture EVMs.

Alert regarding EVM and ‘load shedding’ Mamata Banerjee has instructed TMC workers in her rallies to ‘stand guard’ for the safety of EVMs. He alleged that during the first phase, there were reports of ‘load shedding’ (power cuts) at many places, which could be an indication of tampering with EVMs. He appealed to the women to monitor the machines from polling booth to strong room. The Chief Minister said, “In 2021, the game changed only after the power failure in Nandigram, this time we will not let it happen.”

Direct warning to police officers Expressing displeasure over the attitude of the state police, Mamata Banerjee said that some officers are working in collaboration with the BJP and a list of arrests of TMC leaders has been prepared. “If even one TMC worker is wrongly arrested, thousands of women will take to the streets,” she warned. He reminded the IAS and IPS officers that they are servants of the public and not of any political party and they should not forget their constitutional dignity.
