There’s some big news regarding Team India’s young left-arm spinner , Manav Suthar. Following the Sri Lanka tour, he will once again be seen playing in English county cricket. County club Warwickshire has re-signed him for the final four County Championship matches of the 2026 season. Manav also performed brilliantly for the club earlier this season, earning him another opportunity.

The Indian team will play a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka starting August 15th, and Manav Suthar is part of the squad for this tour. He will travel to England as soon as the Test series concludes and will play for Warwickshire. Manav Suthar recently made his international Test debut against Afghanistan. He bowled brilliantly in his debut match, taking six wickets. This performance earned him a place in the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour.

Manav made a significant impact in the first two matches of this season for Warwickshire. He took a total of 11 wickets, including a five-wicket haul in an innings. In addition to bowling, he also made useful contributions with the bat, helping the team at crucial times. Manav Suthar has 147 wickets in just 22 first-class matches. He also possesses the ability to bat usefully in the lower order, further enhancing his all-round utility.

In addition to Manav Suthar, New Zealand batsman Will Young will also join Warwickshire. Young will be part of the team for the final six matches of the season. He also played three matches for the club last season. Warwickshire is currently just five points off the top spot in the County Championship Division One points table. The return of players like Manav Suthar and Will Young has further strengthened the team’s chances of winning the title.
