However, even today, whenever a film or serial is made, it is definitely compared with Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. Even today this serial is considered to be the best serial based on Ramayana. Each of its characters left a different impression on people’s hearts. Three years ago, director Om Raut had made the film Adipurush which was based on Ramayana. People did not like anything about the story, dialogues, VFX and characters of this film. This film proved to be a flop at the box office. Its dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir also had to face a lot of criticism, he expressed his views on this issue many times. However, this time he has spoken openly about it. He has called this film the biggest mistake of his life.

In an interview given to the media, lyricist Manoj Muntashir openly expressed his views about Adipurush. According to him, questions started being raised about Adipurush only six months ago. His wife Neelam had also refused to become the face of the film. When the film was released, it flopped badly, it took him two days to understand that it was the biggest mistake of his life. According to Manoj, his wife was afraid of Adipurush. He said that he should not become the face of this film. Questions started being raised about the film long ago and some even started trolling him.

Manoj Muntashir said that when he came to know that people were raising questions about Adipurush, he realized that this was the biggest mistake of his life. Manoj Muntashir recalled, ‘When I was asked to speak for the film, Neelam said, ‘You will not be the face of the film’. I had just written songs and dialogues, but had not decided how they would be used. I did not listen to Neelam.

The biggest mistake of my life was Adipurush

Manoj Muntashir says that initially he took the criticism of the film lightly. ‘Adipurush’ was the biggest mistake of my life and defending that film was an even bigger mistake. Whatever happened regarding the film, I am very ashamed of it and I apologize to the entire country for whatever happened. He said that the country never forgives arrogance and lies and he wants to stay away from them. Many things, including some of Hanumanji’s quotes, were presented out of context. He admitted that the dialogues he had written were not correct.
