India could not win any medal in the women's 10m air pistol event and missed out on the team bronze medal by a narrow margin. This match took place on Wednesday in the Asian Games.
24-year-old Manu, who apart from the mixed team bronze in the Paris Olympics, also won the individual bronze medal in this event, will now be seen in the 25m pistol event, in which she is the current champion. Among other Indians, Isha Singh finished 15th in qualifications with a score of 572 and could not make it to the finals. Suruchi Singh stood 26th with a score of 568.
India missed out on a medal from Vietnam in the team event. The scores of both the teams were tied at 1719, but due to less number of 'inner 10s', India finished fourth. India has so far won seven medals in shooting – four silver and three bronze – but is yet to win a gold medal.
