Marco Rubio will visit Jaipur and Agra from tomorrow on India tour, know the complete program
New Delhi: US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio’s four-day visit to India is being considered very important for the relations between the two countries. His visit is taking place at a time when the strategic partnership, trade and security cooperation between India and America is continuously strengthening. It is believed that during this visit, many important issues will be discussed between the two countries, the main ones being trade agreement, Quad cooperation, energy partnership and regional security.
Rubio will meet PM Modi
At the recently held India-US Annual Leadership Summit, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore had indicated that a major trade agreement between the two countries could be finalized in the coming few weeks or months. He also told that Foreign Minister Marco Rubio will meet Prime Minister Modi. This possible meeting is being considered important for India-US relations.
The US Embassy in India posted on the social media platform X that Marco Rubio’s visit shows the strength of the Quad partnership. According to the embassy, many important topics are likely to be discussed, from regional security to rare earth minerals supply chain. Rubio himself has described India as an important strategic partner of America. He emphasized on increasing cooperation in the energy sector and further strengthening the partnership in the Indo-Pacific region.
According to Rubio’s schedule, he will reach Kolkata on May 23, where he will visit the Missionaries of Charity. After this he will leave for Delhi and participate in the programs of the US Embassy. On May 24, he will meet Foreign Minister Jaishankar. On the same day, he will also participate in the 250th anniversary celebrations of America organized at Bharat Mandapam.
Rubio will visit Agra and Jaipur
On May 25, Rubio will visit Agra and Jaipur. In Jaipur he will visit Amer Fort and Rambagh Hotel. And will participate in the Quad summit organized in Delhi on 26th May. A press conference will also be organized after the conference.
Experts believe that this visit is not just a diplomatic formality but can prove to be an important step in giving a new direction to India-US relations. Especially regarding trade, security and Indo-Pacific strategy, the partnership between the two countries is expected to become stronger.
