Maruti Suzuki Brezza 2026: Maruti Suzuki has released the first teaser of its biggest facelift model. This new update will not only refresh the car’s appearance but also give it an edge over other cars in terms of features and power. The company has also opened bookings for customers. This popular SUV is set to receive its first major facelift in 2026, making it look more modern and premium.
What could be the price?
Currently, the Maruti Brezza’s ex-showroom price is expected to be between ₹8.26 lakh and ₹13 lakh. With new features and a possible new engine option, the facelifted model’s price may increase slightly. According to reports, its starting price could be around ₹8.5 lakh, while the top variant could reach ₹14 to ₹15 lakh (ex-showroom). The company may also continue offering CNG variants.
Will there be any changes to the design?
The new Brezza’s design has been made sharper, more modern, and more attractive than before. The facelift is expected to include a new front grille, revised bumpers, updated LED headlamps, new DRLs, 4-spoke alloy wheels, and connected LED taillights at the rear. The company says these changes will enhance the SUV’s road presence.
Interior has also been reworked
Not only this, customers can expect significant changes to the car’s cabin this time around. The new Brezza is expected to feature a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a new dashboard layout, new seat upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a digital instrument cluster. However, the cabin’s space and practicality are expected to remain the same. It is expected to have a 328-liter boot space, similar to the current model.
Several major feature upgrades are possible
This time, Maruti is planning to make the facelift model even more feature-loaded than before.
Features like a 10-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, cruise control, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, rear AC vents, a powered driver’s seat, and ambient lighting are expected.
With these new features, the Brezza could make a stronger contender in its segment.
Safety will also be a key focus
This time, the company has placed special emphasis on customer safety. Safety features like six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD,
Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat mounts will continue to be available in the new car.
In addition, Level-2 ADAS, front parking sensors, and other advanced safety technologies may also be added to the facelift model. Suzuki’s TECT platform will help further improve safety.
Engine options may also be updated.
The new Brezza is expected to retain the existing 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine, which produces around 103 PS of power and 137 Nm of torque. This engine delivers a fuel efficiency of around 19-20 kmpl with mild hybrid technology. A CNG variant will also remain in the lineup, with a fuel efficiency of around 25 km/kg.
The biggest change is likely to be a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, likely borrowed from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. This engine will produce around 100 PS of power and 148 Nm of torque. It is likely to be available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
When could it be launched?
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift is expected to launch around July 23, 2026. It is said that upon launch, it could rival compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon.
