Mathisha Pathirana’s surgery successful, Sri Lanka gets relief, big update on return
Delhi: Sri Lankan cricket team’s star fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana has successfully undergone surgery to get relief from the hamstring injury of his left leg. Currently staying in France, he has started his recovery process and will undergo a rehabilitation program under the supervision of experts.

Team management gave health update
Pathirana’s manager Amila Kalugulaage shared important information about his health. He told that the open surgery of left biceps femoris hamstring has been successful and the player has now gradually started working towards returning to the field.
He also said that during this entire period, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have provided every possible support, giving top priority to the health and care of the players.
Pathirana will work hard to make a comeback
Amila Kalugulaage expressed confidence that Pathirana will soon return to the cricket field stronger than before. He said that the player will work towards regaining his fitness with full dedication and discipline.
He expressed hope that soon Pathirana will once again be seen impressing the fans with his fast bowling.
Currently no return date has been decided
Mathisha, one of Sri Lanka’s leading fast bowlers, will now have to undergo a prescribed rehabilitation programme. No official timeline has been released yet regarding when he will return to competitive cricket. The medical team will continuously monitor the progress of his recovery, only after which the final decision regarding his return will be taken.
