Tezzbuzz Desk- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expressed concern over the politicization of movements related to Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha. He alleged that the movements that started with the problems of youth, students and unemployed are now coming under the influence of various political parties. According to Mayawati, this is raising questions on the independence of these movements and the youth are having serious doubts about the future of the big dreams shown at Jantar Mantar.
Mayawati posted on social media platform He said that instead of the movement remaining independent, there is a growing possibility of it being used by political parties.
BSP expressed sympathy on the demands of youth
The BSP chief clarified that his party is serious about the urgent demands and problems of Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha. He said that to resolve the issues of youth, all the state units of BSP have been instructed to contact the concerned authorities in their respective areas. Party workers have been asked to make efforts towards solving the problems of the youth in a peaceful manner.
Describing employment and other youth-related issues as serious, Mayawati said that these problems should be solved peacefully instead of political conflict. He talked about including the problems of Gen-Z as well as Gen-Alpha in his party's priorities.
Appeal to workers to pay attention to elections
Mayawati also advised BSP workers to stay away from protests, demonstrations and agitations. He said that under party discipline, workers should conserve their physical, mental and financial energy for election preparations. He says that the aim of BSP is to form a government of 'Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhay' in accordance with the ideas of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
He claimed that if the BSP government is formed, efforts will be made to provide a permanent solution to the problems of Gen-Z, Gen-Alpha and other sections of the society. Mayawati also mentioned the tenure of her previous governments in Uttar Pradesh.
Questions raised on Jantar Mantar incident also
Mayawati also mentioned the incident of alleged assault during the Gen-Z movement at Jantar Mantar. He said that if the police had taken appropriate action in time, the serious incident involving Sanjay Azad could have been prevented. He demanded strict legal action against the accused in the case.
After Mayawati's statement, there are signs of further intensification of the political debate regarding the Gen-Z movement. On one hand she is talking about supporting the demands of the youth, while on the other hand she is raising questions on the growing political influence of the movement. Now it remains to be seen what kind of initiatives the state units of BSP take in future regarding youth issues.
