Meetings held 5 times from Delhi to Lucknow, UP BJP’s organization is not expanding.

Suspense is continuously increasing regarding the expansion of the organization of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh. After the appointment of State President Pankaj Chaudhary, now all eyes are on the new state team, but despite five rounds of meetings in Delhi and Lucknow, the names of about 45 office bearers of the organization have not been finalized. It is clear from the ongoing churning within the party that BJP does not want to rush in forming the organization before the 2027 assembly elections.

According to sources, several rounds of meetings have been held with the national leadership in Delhi regarding the state organization. A detailed discussion was also held with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. Opinions of both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak have also been taken on the issue of organization expansion. It is being told that during the meetings held in Delhi, both the leaders have given feedback regarding their respective areas and social equations.

Case stuck on leaders of Purvanchal and West

The biggest challenge before BJP is regional balance. The party leadership wants to give proper representation to the leaders of Western Uttar Pradesh, Purvanchal, Awadh, Braj and Bundelkhand. However, complete consensus has not yet been reached regarding some prominent faces. Sources say that different opinions have emerged between the state and central leadership on the names of some leaders of Purvanchal and Western UP. This is the reason why the announcement of organization expansion is continuously getting postponed. The party does not want to give the message of neglect in any area because regional equations can play a decisive role in the 2027 elections.

Leaders associated with the Sangh may get important responsibilities

The role of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is also being considered important in the expansion of the organization. There is a discussion within the party that workers from Sangh background and active in the organization for a long time can get bigger responsibilities this time. The BJP leadership believes that as the election year is approaching, there is a need for such leaders who have a hold at the booth level and who can strengthen the organizational structure. For this reason, continuous discussions are going on between the Sangh and BJP leadership on many names.

Social equations also become a challenge

Not only regional, but also social balance is playing an important role in the expansion of the organization. BJP wants to give adequate representation to Brahmins, Thakurs, OBCs, Dalits, women and young faces in the new team. The party is trying to ensure that the new team of the organization also gives the message of social equations for the 2027 elections.
