Mental Health in the Age of AI! Experts gather at MindTech Summit 2026 in Bangalore, discuss the future

Artificial Intelligence That is, the event MindTech Summit 2026 has been organized to discuss the growing relationship between AI and mental health. The event was organized for two days namely 5th and 6th October. The event was organized at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. The two-day summit was organized by TANUH (Translational AI for Networked Universal Healthcare). The main theme of this summit is Mental Health in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.

Purpose of MindTech Summit 2026

The summit aims to bring together clinicians, researchers, technologists, industry representatives, policymakers and startups on a single platform to discuss the growing use of AI in mental health. The organizers said that AI related to mental health is being worked on in research, clinical practice and technology in India and around the world. But it is necessary to have good coordination in these areas. The summit organized includes keynote addresses, seminars, expert lectures and showcases of emerging solutions in health-tech.

This is how the program started

On the first day of the summit, the registration was done between 8:30 am to 9:30 am. After this, the reception was held. The program started at around 10 am. At this time the first main session started. In this session, Harvard University’s Dr. Ipsit Vahia spoke on “From Sensors to Actual Implementation: The Complex Aspects of Incorporating AI into Healthcare”.

In simple words, he commented on the various difficulties faced in delivering AI from sensor information to actual patient care. This is followed by ‘Defining the boundaries: What should be the role of artificial intelligence in mental health?’ A panel discussion was held on this.
