Mercedes Benz Delivers 4 New CLA Electric Luxury Sedans To Single Customer

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV was launched in the market last month. The official prices for the CLA EV start at Rs 55 lakh, ex-showroom. As mentioned in our previous stories, the all-new CLA EV is replacing the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, Mercedes-Benz EQA, and Mercedes-Benz EQB in the lineup. Mercedes had started bookings for this new EV in March this year, and now that they have officially announced the prices, the car has started reaching dealerships and deliveries for the same have also begun. In fact, a Mercedes dealer in Mumbai recently delivered four brand-new CLA EVs to a company.

The images and videos have been shared by Autohangar and clintopereiraofficial on their Instagram profiles. In the post by Autohangar, which is an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer, we see the cars being delivered to the customers. What makes this delivery special is the fact that these cars were bought by people from the same company.

Mr. Sukumar Shetty is the MD & Group COO, Ms. Vaishali Lad is the Director and President – Finance, Mr. Ashutosh Thakkar is the Director and President – Liaisoning, and Mr. Jitendra Kapoor is the VP – Operations at Aspect Global. All four cars were bought by directors and senior executives of the same company.

In the post, we see them taking delivery of their cars. The customers are seen taking delivery of their cars with their families and friends. After the deliveries, we see them driving the cars out of the dealership.

CLA is not a new name in the Indian market. However, the electric version is arriving in the market for the first time. One of the most talked-about aspects of the CLA EV is its low drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.21.

It gets an aerodynamic design and comes with sleek-looking headlamps connected by an LED light bar. The headlamps and tail lamps have Mercedes-logo-inspired light elements in them. The front grille on the CLA EV also comes with illuminated three-pointed-star-inspired elements. The CLA EV is available in three variants, and the AMG Line variant gets a sportier-looking bumper that looks different from the regular version.

The CLA continues to offer the coupe-like sloping roof design, and the EV is offered with 18-inch wheels, with designs changing depending on the variant. Coming to the features and interiors, Mercedes is offering a full-width panel stretching across the dashboard. This includes a 14-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a cluster of illuminated three-pointed stars on the co-driver’s side.

It comes with powered, heated, and massaging front seats (no ventilation), dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a panoramic glass roof, a Burmester 3D audio system, a wireless charging pad, six airbags, auto park assist, a 360-degree parking camera, Level 2+ ADAS, semi-autonomous driving capabilities, and more. It offers 405 litres of boot space and a 101-litre frunk.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is offered in CLA 200 and CLA 250+ Long Range variants. The CLA 200 uses a 58 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed driving range of 542 km. The electric motor powers the rear wheels and generates 224 PS and 335 Nm of torque.

The CLA 250+ Long Range variant comes with an 85 kWh battery pack that generates 227 PS and 335 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 792 km and supports charging speeds of up to 320 kW when it comes to fast charging.
