Royal Enfield becomes world’s third strongest automotive brand by defeating Ferrari and Audi
Read Auto News. In the latest report of Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2026, Royal Enfield has emerged as the third strongest automotive brand in the world. This achievement has put this Indian motorcycle manufacturer ahead of many global giants. The company is now behind only Toyota and BMW in this list, while Audi is fourth and Ferrari is seventh.
In this report, Royal Enfield has been given a ‘Brand Strength Index’ score of 88.9 out of 100 and ‘AAA’ rating. This rating underlines the brand’s growing influence in the global two-wheeler market. Its total brand value has also increased by a whopping 30 percent, which has now increased to $1.2 billion. This is another milestone for a company that was once seen primarily as a maker of ‘niche retro motorcycles’.
Royal Enfield’s increasing international expansion has also played an important role in its progress. The company is doing business in more than 80 countries, and has a network of more than 3,200 retail outlets across the world. Apart from this, the company also has seven international CKD assembly plants, with the help of which it has been able to further strengthen its position in key markets. According to the brand, demand for its motorcycles remains consistent in regions like Europe, South America, South-East Asia and Australia.
A major reason behind this achievement is Royal Enfield’s clear product strategy. The company has stuck to its core identity and offers motorcycles that combine simple engineering with classic styling. Models like Hunter 350 and Super Meteor 650 continue to attract buyers who are looking for a simple and smooth riding experience along with a unique design. On the other hand, the updated Himalayan 450 has made the brand’s ‘Adventure Line-up’ even more capable.
Apart from Royal Enfield, other Indian automotive brands like Mahindra, Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki also featured in the list. In this list of the world’s strongest automobile brands, Tata Motors secured the fifth position, while Maruti Suzuki was ranked 34th and Mahindra was ranked 25th.
