Mercedes-Benz launches new car in India, will run on both petrol and electric, know the price

New Delhi. Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has launched its new Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid in the Indian market. Equipped with plug-in hybrid technology, this high-performance sedan comes with the power of both petrol engine and electric motor. The company has brought back the E 53 nameplate and positioned this model between the standard E-Class and the top AMG models.

The starting ex-showroom price of the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid has been kept at Rs 1.45 crore. Whereas the price of its Racing Edition has been fixed at Rs 1.48 crore. This model was already launched in the global market and is now available for Indian customers.

Powerful engine and hybrid technology

The car has a 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. Apart from this, it also has an electric motor connected to a 21.2 kWh battery pack, due to which this plug-in hybrid system produces a total of 585 horsepower and 750 Nm torque.




  • 100 km/h speed in 4 seconds

    This high-performance sedan is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4 seconds. Whereas with the AMG Driver Package available in Racing Edition, its top speed reaches 280 km per hour.
