IPL 2026 MI vs CSK 33rd Match Highlight: The 33rd match was played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026. In this match played at Wankhede, Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai by 103 runs. Earlier, MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl. Thanks to Sanju Samson’s unbeaten century, Chennai scored 207 runs in front of Mumbai. In response, Mumbai was all out for 104 runs in 20 overs. Accordingly, Chennai Super Kings registered their third win in IPL 2026. With this, Chennai Super Kings, under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaiwad, has created history on the Wankhede ground.

In this match, Chennai Super Kings have created history by defeating Mumbai Indians by a huge margin of 103 runs. This victory proved to be the biggest win for Chennai Super Kings in IPL history. On the other hand, this defeat was shameful for Mumbai Indians led by Hardik Pandya. Mumbai Indians had never lost such a big match in the IPL till now. Accordingly, this proved to be his biggest defeat. Wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson and Caribbean bowler Akil Hussain played important roles in this victory of CSK.

Sanju Samson hits second century in IPL 2026

Opener Sanju Samson performed brilliantly for CSK in batting. He scored unbeaten 101 runs in 54 balls, which included 10 fours and 6 sixes. This is his second century in IPL 2026. Samson adopted an aggressive approach from the beginning and did not give any chance to the Mumbai bowlers. Thanks to his innings, Chennai scored 200+.

Whereas Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner got 1-1 wicket. Chennai batsmen set a big target for Mumbai by scoring 207 runs in 20 overs. Now it remains to be seen how the Mumbai team chases this target.

Akil Hussain made a comeback in bowling

Spin bowler Akil Hussain performed brilliantly for Chennai in this match. In the very first over he Mumbai Indians Made his intentions clear by giving the first blow. After that, MI batsmen kept getting out at regular intervals. Akin Hussain took 4 wickets by spending only 17 runs in 4 overs. Apart from this, Noor Ahmed took two wickets in back to back fashion. Whereas, Mukesh Chaudhary, Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton and Gurjapneet Singh got 1 wicket each.

Disappointing performance of Mumbai batsmen

Mumbai Indians, which set out to chase the target of 200+, could not perform well for Mumbai Indians. Tilak Verma played the highest innings of 37 runs while Suryakumar Yadav played a slow innings of 36 runs. Apart from this, no batsman could touch double figures.
