Millie Bobby Brown is not ‘finished with Eleven,’ wants to see her future

Millie Bobby Brown may have wrapped filming on Stranger Thingsbut she says she is not ready to say goodbye to her fan-favourite character, Eleven.

Speaking on The Playlist Podcast Network’s The Discourse on June 30 while promoting Enola Holmes 3the 22-year-old actress reflected on Eleven’s fate after being asked whether she had imagined the character’s future beyond the Netflix series.

The question came from host Mike DeAngelo, who said his seven-year-old son wanted to know what really happened at the end of Stranger Things.

“Millie, my son’s favorite, favorite, favorite show in the world is Stranger Things,” DeAngelo said. “What actually happened at the end of Stranger Things?”

Brown admitted that the answer remains uncertain for viewers.

“I mean, honestly, I don’t even know. I mean, objectively, she looks like she’s dead, but then there’s this ending that potentially opens the door, and maybe she’s smarter than everyone thinks, and she got out,” she said. “Me and the Duffer Brothers are the only ones who know the real truth.”

The conversation then turned to the possibility of revisiting Eleven years later.

After DeAngelo asked how interesting it would be to see the character at 30, Brown responded enthusiastically.

“Oh, I would love that. I’m not finished with El. I love her so much,” she said. “I was very pleased at the ending, but it was a hard pill to swallow.”

“I would love to see what she could be doing in her 30s. I’d be interested to see that. I hope everyone else would be, but that’s if she’s alive,” Brown added, leaving the door open to a potential return.
