Kushinagar. State Prison Department Minister and district in-charge Minister Dara Singh Chauhan on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed Model Nagar Panchayat office and air-conditioned digital library in Dudahi Nagar Panchayat with formal worship. After the inauguration, he visited the digital library and took information about the facilities available there. He said that this facility will prove useful for students and youth in studies and preparation for competitive examinations.
During the program, the Minister in-charge while addressing the residents of the city gave information about various public welfare schemes and development works of the Central and State Government. He said that the priority of the government is to extend the benefits of the schemes to the person standing at the last rung of the society. He also mentioned the facilities being provided to the common people through various schemes including Ayushman Bharat.
Before the program, the Minister in-charge garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located at Gandhi Chowk. After this, he was welcomed by the military band and torch bearers and was taken to the newly built digital library.
Local MLA Fazilnagar Surendra Singh Kushwaha welcomed the minister in charge. Nagar Panchayat Sewrahi President Sonia Jaiswal, BJP District President Durgesh Rai and Dudhahi Nagar Panchayat President Shaida Khatoon and other public representatives also addressed the program. The speakers described the development works being done in the city area and facilities like digital library as important for the students and youth.
The Minister in-charge congratulated the concerned people including Nagar Panchayat President Shaida Khatoon and Azim Alam who helped in organizing the program. He stressed on speeding up the development works in the Nagar Panchayat area and providing better facilities to the citizens.
On this occasion, MLA Kasya PN Pathak, MLA Hata Mohan Verma, former District President Prem Chandra Mishra, former Chairman Sevarhi Tribhuvan Jaiswal, MP representative Dheeraj Tripathi, Tamkuhiraj Nagar Panchayat President JP Gupta, Executive Officer Ravi Patel, Nagar Panchayat councilors, officers-employees and a large number of city residents were present.
