Sagar. In accordance with the intention of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for public dialogue and public welfare, the State’s Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput on Saturday visited the Surkhi Nagar Parishad area in Sagar district on foot.
Minister Rajput went to every street and every house of Surkhi and directly communicated with the common citizens, enquired about the well-being of the elderly and the youth and listened to their problems.
During the visit, Minister Rajput inaugurated the Surkhi Municipal Council building in a grand ceremony. He also unveiled various development projects worth over ₹5 crore for the overall development of the area, and performed groundbreaking ceremonies and inaugurations for several important construction projects.
Addressing the citizens, Minister Govind Singh Rajput said, “Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s clear message is that public representatives should personally go among the people and get real feedback on development works. For this purpose, I have come today to meet my family members by walking through the streets of Surkhi.”
He further said that the purpose of this tour is not any political program or election campaign, but to directly meet the public and solve their problems so that the development schemes can reach the person standing in the last row.
Minister Rajput made several important announcements to strengthen the infrastructure in various wards of the Municipal Council Surkhi. Construction of concrete roads and drains in wards 1, 2, 6, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
Construction of a concrete road and flooring in Ward 9. Construction of concrete roads in Wards 10 and 11. Construction of a WBM road and culvert in Midwasa and Wards 14-15. Construction of a grand community hall on the first floor of the cowshed complex.
Welcome gates and public amenities will be expanded along major roads. These construction projects will permanently alleviate the problems of waterlogging, mud, and road congestion that often occur during the rainy season.
Minister Rajput said that the government’s goal is not limited to large projects, but rather to provide basic amenities to every street and neighborhood. Construction of concrete roads and culverts will greatly facilitate the daily commute of schoolchildren, farmers, patients, and ordinary travelers.
Referring to the welfare schemes of the Central Government like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Har Ghar Nal-Jal, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, he said that the state government is effectively implementing these schemes on the ground.
The Minister gave clear instructions to the administrative officers present on the spot that even the smallest complaint of the citizens should be taken seriously.
He gave strict instructions not to compromise on the quality of construction work and to complete the work within the time limit.
During this walk, local Mandal President Bundel Singh, Narmada Singh, Monu Singh Mokalpur, Arun Gautam, Sarman Singh, Kamlesh Pandey, Bhole Raja, Murat Singh, Shubham Singh, Pawan Dubey were present.
Hundreds of local citizens and workers including Bahadur Singh, Tikaram Choubey, Basant Lodhi, Nepal Singh, Atul Bhargava, Laxman Singh were present.
