New Delhi: A hair-raising incident has come to light from Palwal district of Haryana. An 11 year old minor girl was brutally raped in a mosque in Hasanpur police station area. The perpetrator of this heinous crime turned out to be none other than the girl’s own relative. The accused lured the girl after finding her alone and took her to his room and closed the door from inside. After this, he took the innocent child hostage and raped her. As soon as the incident came to light, a sensation spread in the area; the police arrested the accused.
The innocent child had gone to get the mobile charger.
The victim’s father works as a Maulvi in a local mosque in Hasanpur. On Tuesday, the accused had come to Hasanpur in connection with some personal work. The girl’s father had made arrangements for her stay in the room located in the mosque premises itself.
In the morning, the girl, studying in class 6 in a private school, reached the mosque premises to collect the mobile charger from her father’s room.
Mother ran after hearing the screams
The accused, finding her alone and alone when she reached the mosque premises in the morning to get a mobile charger, was coaxed by the accused, who took her to the room and closed the door. It is alleged that after this he took the girl hostage and raped her. When the girl did not return for a long time despite it being time to go to school, her mother suspected something untoward. When she went towards the mosque to search, she heard the sounds of the girl crying and screaming from inside the room. When the mother raised an alarm, the girl’s father and people nearby immediately reached the spot. When people broke the door and entered, the girl was found in a critical condition. Taking the opportunity, the accused managed to escape by dodging the crowd.
Case registered under POCSO Act
Immediately after the incident, the family took the victim in a bleeding state to Palwal Civil Hospital, where she was treated for two days. The medical examination conducted by doctors has confirmed the rape of the minor. SHO Sub Inspector Vijay Pal of Hasanpur police station said that on the complaint of the victim’s family regarding the incident, a case was registered against the accused under stringent sections under Section 6 of the POCSO Act. The formed police teams took prompt action and arrested the accused on Wednesday and sent him behind the bars. There is deep anger among the local residents after this incident, while the police is engaged in further legal investigation of the matter.
