Mira Rajput is all set to make her official television debut alongside her husband, actor Shahid Kapoor, and brother-in-law Ishaan Khatter on the upcoming Diwali-special episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show.
Netflix India dropped the promo for the upcoming episode on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, offering viewers a hilarious preview of the family dynamics and banter taking place on host Kapil Sharma’s couch.
Dance Entries and Hilarious Movie Reactions
The episode kicks off with an energetic entry as brothers Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter perform together to their hit track Jhingaat.
Sitting down alongside Shahid, Mira confirmed that this marks her very first television appearance. During the conversation, Shahid recalled Mira’s hilarious reaction when she watched his dark crime-drama Udta Punjab, in which he played a drug-addicted rockstar. Shahid shared that while Mira sat right beside him at the start of the film, she had moved to the far end of the couch by the time the credits rolled. Kapil Sharma quipped that Mira might have run away entirely had Shahid shown her Kabir Singh first.
Family Drama and Show Airing Details
The playful banter continued as Mira shared insights into their home life, describing Shahid as an indulgent father who loves to spoil their children, Misha and Zain. However, when Kapil asked Mira to reveal the single habit of Shahid’s that irks her the most, Mira playfully deadpanned and asked, “One?”, leaving Shahid delightfully speechless and triggering laughter from the studio audience.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput married in July 2015 and have remained one of Bollywood’s most popular couples. Shahid was most recently seen in director Vishal Bhardwaj’s O Romeo, while Ishaan Khatter featured in the critically acclaimed film Homebound.
The Diwali-special episode featuring the trio is scheduled to stream on Netflix on October 31, 2026, at 8:00 PM IST.
