Bahria police station took prompt action and recovered a missing child safely within just 24 hours. With the help of CCTV cameras and other technical means, the police traced the child from Sikandra Tiraha and after completing the necessary legal process, handed him over to his family members.
The child had left home with the intention of leaving studies
Police investigation revealed that on July 21, Jaunpur resident Tauab alias Taufiq had informed about his elder son missing. The boy had left home on the morning of July 20, saying he was going to Maharani Kaushalya Devi Inter College, Dhamour, for studies, but did not return till evening. The family members searched extensively among relatives and acquaintances, but could not find any trace of him. Later it was learned that the boy had sold his books for Rs 1100 and had gone somewhere.
During interrogation after recovery, the child said that he was not interested in studies and he had already told this to his family members. When his request was not accepted, he sold his books and reached Phulpur railway station by auto. From there he took the train to Prayagraj Junction, where he kept roaming around the station the whole time. The next day, when he felt like returning home, he reached Sikandra Tirahe by auto, where he was waiting for the vehicle to take him home. Meanwhile, the police recovered him safely.
