After losing power, the state’s main opposition party DMK President MK Stalin said this in a public meeting on Sunday. Addressing the public meeting, he predicted mid-term elections in the state.

Workers ordered to be ready

At a program to induct new members into the party, former chief minister and DMK chief M.K. Stalin said that I ask the party workers to be prepared for the election fight. He told that elections can be announced any time. Elections can be held in three months or after six months. Whenever elections are held, we have to be 100 percent prepared. Work with full honesty for the victory of the party from now onwards and you will definitely get recognition.

Government dependent on coalition: Stalin

There are 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. At least 118 seats are required to form the government in the state. Vijay’s party TVK, which came into existence two years ago, won the largest number of seats in the assembly elections held in April, but remained away from the majority figure. Vijay formed the government in the state with the support of Congress and regional parties, Muslim League, VCK. Citing these regional parties, Stalin said that this government is running with the support of former DMK alliance partners.
