New Modern Family reunion photos shared by core cast members highlight how close the onscreen family remains six years after the series finale.
On Thursday, September 10, 2026, Ariel Winter shared multiple photos featuring her Modern Family castmates. In the pictures, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nolan Gould, and Winter were seen posing for a selfie. The caption read, “very modern weekend, actually.”
The post also features Modern Family’s casting director Jeff Greenberg, Gould’s girlfriend, singer-songwriter Sadie Jean, and Camden Wikler, the founder and CEO of Cwik Supplements.
In Modern Family, Winter played Alex Dunphy, Gould played Luke Dunphy, and Ferguson played Mitchell “Mitch” Pritchett. Winter and Gould, who are roommates, joined the show when they were only 11 and 10 years old, respectively. While Ferguson was 33 when the show premiered.
The Modern Family cast has stayed close since the series ended
The cast of the hit ABC series remained close after the series ended. They continue to have reunions every now and then. On August 31 this year, Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Julie Bowen had a small get-together.
The photos of this reunion were shared on Instagram by the attendees. In the caption, Ferguson wrote“I love these people,” while Vergara wrote, “With my American family!!! I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since the Modern Family finale!!! I miss u guys!!!”
Moreover, Vergara previously told People that the cast had been in touch through a group chat, adding that Ed O’Neill doesn’t always respond quickly.
Additionally, in another interview with People, Winter said“People ask me about a Modern Family reboot, but Nolan and I are real roommates now. So it’s like we’re having our own little Modern Family reboot, but it’s just the two of us living together. So I see him every day.”
Modern Family ran for 11 seasons, from 2009 to 2020. The show garnered 85 Emmy nominations. From these, it earned 22 Emmy Award wins, including five for Outstanding Comedy Series. The show ended with its 250th episode on April 8, 2020.
