In a letter written to Chairman Privilege Committee, Rajya Sabha Harivansh, on 2nd and 10th October 2026, Delhi Police has given a notice regarding breach of parliamentary privilege and contempt of the House against the Delhi Police Commissioner due to repeated use of physical force, brutal misbehavior and forceful detention with me on 2nd and 10th October 2026.

Sanjay Singh wrote that I would like to respectfully inform you that while participating in the peaceful democratic protests on 2 October and 10 October 2026, I was repeatedly used physical force, misbehaved and forcefully detained by Delhi Police personnel. The intervention of the Privileges Committee is necessary in this matter. On both the occasions the police personnel dragged me, pushed me, abused me and forcefully pushed me into the police bus. On October 2, I was also pushed on the road before being forced into a police bus. Recurrence of such incidents raises serious questions on the conduct of Delhi Police, the instructions given to its personnel and the accountability of the Delhi Police Commissioner who heads this force.
Use of physical force and abuse on 2 October 2026
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October 2026, I participated in a peaceful march towards Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to protest against electoral irregularities, large-scale deletion of voters' names and suppression of democratic rights. During the march, Delhi Police personnel used physical force on me and behaved insultingly with me. I was dragged, pushed, abused and pushed onto the road. After this I was forcefully dragged towards the police bus, pushed into the bus and taken into custody.
