IND VS SLXI: The Indian cricket team defeated Sri Lanka XI by 6 wickets in a three-day warm-up match played in Colombo. The game was heading towards a draw on the third day, but star Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj smashed consecutive sixes in the final over against Sri Lanka Cricket XI to give Team India a thrilling victory. Sri Lankan players were then seen checking Siraj’s bat, a video of which is rapidly going viral on social media.

On the third day of the match against Sri Lanka XI, India needed 16 runs to win in the last over (45th). Mohammed Siraj and Saransh Jain were at the crease. Spinner Kesara Nuwantha came in to bowl the final over for Sri Lanka. Siraj smashed three consecutive sixes off the first three balls of the over, securing India a resounding victory. However, the match continued, as warm-up match rules require an over to be completed even after winning. Under this rule, Siraj hit a four off the fifth ball of the over, followed by a single off the last ball. Siraj had also hit a six off Sonal Dinusha off the fifth ball of the previous over, the 44th.

Even the Sri Lankan players were astonished by Mohammed Siraj’s blistering innings. After the match, the Sri Lankan players were praising Siraj’s incredible batting and jokingly looking at his bat, a video of which is going viral on social media.

Mohammed Siraj smashed 30 runs in just his last eight balls. Siraj played a blistering innings of 32 not out off 15 balls, including four sixes and one four. His innings helped India beat Sri Lanka XI by six wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a fifty for India in the second innings, while captain Shubman Gill scored 44.
