Monsoon becomes active again in Bihar, rain and storm alert in 18 districts, warning of lightning also

Patna. There are signs of monsoon becoming active once again in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding rain and strong wind in 18 districts of the state including Patna. There is a possibility of rain with thunder at many places. During this time, the wind speed can reach up to 40 kilometers per hour and there will be a danger of thunderstorms in some areas.

Rain alert in these 18 districts

There is a possibility of bad weather in 18 districts including Patna, Siwan, Gopalganj, West Champaran, East Champaran, Buxar, Bhojpur and Nalanda. There may be strong winds along with rain in these areas. People have been advised to avoid open fields and under trees during bad weather.

Humidity will cause trouble in 20 districts

At present, there is less possibility of heavy rain in the remaining 20 districts of the state, but the humid heat here can increase the problems of the people. There are chances of cloudy sky and light rain at many places. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in many parts of Bihar on August 18.

Waterlogging due to rain in Chhapra

In the last 24 hours, it rained in many areas including Patna, Bettiah, Buxar and Samastipur. After about 40 minutes of rain in Chapra, many roads were water logged. At some places, water also entered shops, due to which people had to face problems.

Highest rainfall in Madhubani

Madhubani recorded maximum rainfall of 41 mm in the last 24 hours. However, till now the monsoon rains in Bihar are about 39 percent less than normal. Meteorologists expect that rainfall activities may increase in the coming days, especially in North Bihar.
