Monsoon seems to be fully active once again in Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, intermittent torrential rains may continue in many parts of the state for the next few days.
This major change in the weather is being seen due to a strong cyclonic circulation formed in the lower atmospheric level in eastern UP and surrounding areas. Due to this system, along with rain, heavy rain with thunderstorms and strong winds can occur in many areas. In such a situation, meteorologists have advised people to keep a constant eye on local alerts and warnings.
Indications of heavy rain for several days in Eastern UP
The weather pattern for Eastern Uttar Pradesh is going to be quite severe for the next several days. The Meteorological Department has predicted widespread rainfall in most parts of the state between August 17 and 23.
Apart from 17th August, very heavy rains are expected at some places on 20th and 21st August. At the same time, heavy rain is expected at many places during August 18-19 and August 22-23. During this period, people living near rivers, drains and low-lying areas will need to take special care and remain alert.
The speed of rain will increase in western UP also
Not only in eastern Uttar Pradesh, but also in the western parts of the state, the weather pattern is going to take a complete turn. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in many areas of western UP during August 17 and August 21-22.
Apart from this, torrential rains may be seen in some parts of western UP on August 18. Due to heavy rains, there is a possibility of problems like waterlogging on the roads and disruption in traffic.
Attention People need to be extremely cautious
During this new spell of rain, it would be better to maintain proper distance from low-lying areas, waterlogged roads and weak buildings and structures. The Meteorological Department has warned not to go to open fields during thunderstorms and avoid standing under trees under any circumstances.
Monsoon activities are expected to remain active in Uttar Pradesh for the next few days, due to which both eastern and western divisions may see the effect of heavy and heavy rain on different days.
