Over the next 24 hours, many areas may experience cloudy skies, accompanied by thunderstorms and rain. Four days later, heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in various parts of the state.
Rain alert for these districts in the next 24 hours
According to the Patna Meteorological Center, the weather may change in several districts, including the capital Patna, over the next 24 hours. Thunderstorms and rain are likely in some areas due to cloud movement. A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Kishanganj and Kaimur. Additionally, thunderstorms and lightning are expected in several districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Buxar, Saran, Bhojpur, Rohtas, and Aurangabad.
Temperatures increased in several districts, including Patna.
The weather in Patna and surrounding areas remained normal on Sunday. Sunshine and clouds alternated throughout the day. Maximum temperatures increased in 12 districts across the state. Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 34.9 degrees Celsius, while Forbesganj recorded the highest temperature in the state at 35.2 degrees Celsius.
128.6 mm of rain in Kishanganj
Rainfall was recorded in several parts of Bihar during the past 24 hours. Galgalia in Kishanganj recorded the highest rainfall of 128.6 mm. Meanwhile, wind speeds reached 56 kilometers per hour in Nalanda. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures across the state are expected to rise over the next two days. Consequently, humidity and heat may increase in some areas.
Monsoon may reactivate after four days
According to the Meteorological Center, the monsoon trough is currently passing through Bikaner, Gwalior, and northeastern Madhya Pradesh, along with a low-pressure area over northern Chhattisgarh. It then extends through Puri and into the east-central Bay of Bengal. Due to a change in the weather system, heavy rainfall activity is currently expected to decrease in Bihar. However, with the monsoon reactivation over the next four days, heavy rainfall may begin in many parts of the state.
Farmers and people advised to remain vigilant
The Meteorological Department has advised people to exercise caution in districts prone to thunderstorms and lightning. People have been advised to avoid standing in open spaces, near trees, and power poles during inclement weather. Although the rain has slowed down in Bihar, the weather has not completely cleared. Thunderstorms, lightning, and rain are likely to continue in various parts of the state for the next few days.
