Ingredients for making Moong Dal Bhaji

  • 1 cup yellow moong dal
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • A little coriander
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Half a spoon of cumin
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Easy way to make bhaji

First, soak the moong dal for 3 to 4 hours. After that, drain the water and slice the dal thickly. Be careful not to make the mixture too thin. Add onion, green chillies, coriander, ginger-garlic paste, cumin, asafoetida and salt to the split dal and mix all the ingredients well. This gives the bhajis an excellent taste and aroma. Heat oil in a pan and drop small balls of the mixture. Fry on medium flame until golden. This keeps the bhajis crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
