Chhattisgarh:- The Health Department has intensified action regarding monitoring of hospitals under the Ayushman Scheme. Under the scheme, National Health Authority (NHA) teams conducted investigations in 17 hospitals identified in the Very High Risk category. The teams reached the hospitals and examined the documents and records related to the scheme.
This investigation was not limited to Raipur only, but hospitals located in different districts of the state were also kept under its purview. During the action, information has come to light that notices were pasted on most of the hospitals in Raipur.
Hospitals of these districts are under investigation
Hospitals of Bastar, Bilaspur, Durg, Kabirdham, Kondagaon, Korba, Raipur and Surguja were included in the NHA investigation. These mainly include SCH Hospital, Ashok Prasuti Mandir, Care N Cure Multi-speciality Hospital, Mehta Children Nursing Home, Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Science and Pulse Hospital.
Apart from this, tests were also conducted in Jai Jagannath Healthcare, Netam Hospital & Infertility Centre, Hari Krishna Care Hospital, SRIMSR Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Hospital, Shri Anant Sai Hospital, Shri Mahaveer Hospital, Shriniwas Hospital, SK Care Hospital, Vision Center Eye Hospital, DHT Care Hospital and Vardaan Hospital.
Notice on many hospitals in Raipur
During the action, NHA team reached many hospitals of Raipur. According to the information, notices were pasted to most of the hospitals here. Documents and records related to Ayushman Yojana have been examined in the hospitals.
De-empanelment at Medilife and Lotus Hospital
Amid investigation, de-empanelment action has been taken against Medilife Hospital and Lotus Hospital of Raipur from Ayushman Yojana. This means that action has been taken to exclude both the hospitals from the panel of hospitals empaneled under the scheme.
Why was investigation done on Very High Risk hospitals?
Under Ayushman Yojana, hospitals are identified on the basis of risk to monitor the hospitals and check the claim related process. In this sequence, the documents and records of the hospitals kept in Very High Risk category have been examined. After this action of NHA, now further action can be taken against the concerned hospitals on the basis of the facts revealed in the investigation.
