New Delhi. Kalkaji police station has arrested a youth in connection with the theft of a large number of computer equipment from a shop located at Nehru Place. Police claim that 520 stolen SSD cards and 160 RAM have been recovered from the possession of the accused. The estimated value of the recovered goods is said to be Rs 35 to 40 lakh. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Krishna Bind (22) and he has no previous criminal record. According to the police, an FIR was registered under Section 305 of the Indian Justice Code at Kalkaji police station on August 21 after receiving a complaint of theft in a shop located at Manjusha Building-57 of Nehru Place.
Complainant Sachin Mittal had told the police that unknown people stole about 500 pieces of 512 GB capacity SSD cards and other computer related items from the shop. A police team was formed to investigate the matter. The police examined the footage of about 45 CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area and Nehru Place market. Apart from this, call detail records (CDR) and other technical and scientific evidence were also analyzed. Police say that based on these clues, a suspect was identified and after continuous investigation, Krishna Bind was arrested.
During investigation, police recovered 520 SSD cards and 160 RAM from the possession of the accused. According to the police, the recovered SSD cards are of 512 GB capacity, while the RAM is of 8 GB. The recovered goods have been taken into possession through seizure memo. Police have estimated its total value to be around Rs 35 to 40 lakh. According to the police, the arrested accused lives in the slum of New Priyanka Camp located in Sarita Vihar. The investigation has not found any previous involvement against him in any case. The accused is being produced before the court for further legal action. Police say that further investigation is going on in the matter.
