Lenovo-owned company -Motorola has expanded the Moto Pad 70 series with the addition of the Pad 70 model. The series already had Moto Pad 70 Pro, launched in June, and Moto Pad 70 Groove, launched this month.
The Moto Pad 70, claimed to be thinnest and lightest 5G tablet, has a thickness of 6.49mm and weighs 530g. The tablet supports 5G connectivity and is powered by a Dimensity 6400 SoC under the hood.
It features a 12.1 inch LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 2,560×1,600-pixel resolution with 800 nits brightness. It also comes with a stylus support. The device comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage that also supports expansion up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The device boots Android 16 out of the box and is claimed to receive upgrade to Android 17 in the future. This makes the tablet a bit outdated as Android 17 is already being used by many. Meanwhile, it is set to receive three years of security updates.
That said, the Moto Pad 70 also comes with AI Rewrite, AI Summary, and AI Continue Writing features, allowing better use of the Moto Pen stylus. And if you ever feel like taking pictures with the tablet (we aren’t judging), there’s a 13MP camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front.
The Moto Pad 70 packs a 10,200 mAh battery with 45W charging support, even though the tablet comes bundled with a 68W power adapter.
Other highlights of the Moto Pad 70 include an IP52 rating, quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, a USB-C port, dual mic, voice call support, and keyboard support. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Moto Pad 70, boasting a metal design, comes in a single Pantone Sea Angel color with two memory options – 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. However, in its press release, Motorola only confirmed the 256GB model’s launch price, which is Rs 33,999. The Moto Pen will be included in the box, but the Moto Folio keyboard will be sold separately.
The Moto Pad 70’s 256GB model will go on sale in India starting August 15 through Motorola’s Indian website, Flipkart, and leading retail stores across the country.
