During the promotion, while referring to the recently released film ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, she said that she had no idea that the makers would make an aged senior actor her husband. The makers have cut his most important scenes, due to which he is quite disappointed.

The film ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ was directed by Jai Kumar Arora. In this film, Mrinal played the role of Rabia Akhtar, whose estranged husband was played by Chunky Panday. If we talk about age between the two, there is a difference of 30 years between Chunky and Mrinal. Not only this, Ajay Devgn was in the lead role opposite Mrunal Thakur in the film. He is also 24 years older than the actress.

While talking during the promotion of the film ‘Dacait’, Mrunal Thakur said, ‘I did not know that a very senior actor would play the role of my husband. Because it made me… It was not what I expected from the film. So, I was a little disappointed there. Because my confidence was shaken. But you know, I have no regrets. I didn’t know that two of my important scenes would be cut on the editing table itself. Like, there was a very cute scene between me and Roshni.

But the way you have taken care of me… the editors made this part of the story disappear from the film. However, Mrinal Thakur also said that despite his disappointment, his relations with the film team are very good.
