Mukesh Ambani celebrates ‘Dhurandhar’ success, credits Jio Studios in official letter
Mukesh Ambani has expressed admiration for Dhurandharcelebrating the franchise’s massive success worldwide.
The billionaire, who owns Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Jio Studios, praised the films for expanding the scope of Indian cinema through their stellar box-office performance.
According to The Indian Expressthe business tycoon reportedly shared a letter with shareholders highlighting the success of the franchise and its monetisation models.
The letter read, “Jio Studios has achieved the unique distinction of having the highest-grossing film three years in a row, with Street 2 in 2024, Dhurandhar in 2025, and Dhurandhar: The Revenge in 2026, demonstrating consistency and undisputed leadership. FY 2025–26 saw Jio Studios release the record-smashing spy-action thrillers Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge (together, the Dhurandhar franchise), creating new benchmarks in box-office performance, release strategy, monetisation models, and customer engagement globally.”
In addition, he noted that the franchise had shattered box-office records, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film series of all time.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the franchise has collected more than ₹3,000 crore worldwide.
The films starred Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
