Makers break silence on discussion of lesbian love story in ‘Cocktail 2’, say- don’t pay attention to rumours.

Tezzbuzz Desk- Bollywood’s much awaited film ‘Cocktail 2’ is in the news these days. Recently the trailer of the film was released, which got good response from the audience. Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon will be seen in the lead roles in the film. All three stars are sharing the screen together for the first time.

After the release of the trailer, many discussions started on social media regarding the story of the film. Some people claimed that the film depicted a lesbian romance between Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon. This discussion quickly started going viral, after which the makers of the film had to come forward and give clarification.

At the trailer launch event of the film, producer Dinesh Vijan and director Homi Adajania termed these rumors as completely false. Dinesh Vijan clearly said that there is no such angle in the film. He told that the story of ‘Cocktail 2’ revolves around love, relationships and emotions.

Director Homi Adajania said that people created their own story after seeing some pictures and the friendship of the actors. He said that Rashmika and Kriti are good friends and are often seen together, that is why such rumors started spreading.

During the event, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon also reacted to the issue humorously. Both of them said that they know where such things started from, but the story of the film is completely different from that.

Shahid Kapoor also laughingly said that he could not understand where these news were coming from. He appealed to the audience to decide for themselves after watching the film.

Let us tell you that ‘Cocktail 2’ is the sequel of the 2012 superhit film ‘Cocktail’. The first film starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty in lead roles. Now the audience hopes that the second part will be equally entertaining. This film is going to be released in theaters on June 19.
