Namo Yamuna Cruise: Magnificent river journey will start in Delhi
A new and fun beginning is going to happen for the people of Delhi. Now the fun of cruise like Mumbai-Goa is going to be available in Delhi only. ‘Namo Yamuna Cruise’ service is going to start this month, through which people will be able to enjoy traveling in the Yamuna river. The government is considering this project as a big step to increase tourism.
When will the cruise service start?
According to government officials, Namo Yamuna Cruise Service will be started by the end of May. Earlier it was to be launched in February, but it was postponed due to some technical and preparatory work. Now all the preparations are almost complete and it will be inaugurated soon.
From where to where will the cruise run?
This cruise service will run on a route of about 5 kilometers between Sonia Vihar to Jagatpuri. It will take about 1 hour to cover this entire journey. During this time people will be able to enjoy the beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the banks of Yamuna. This place has been chosen because the water level near Wazirabad is good.
Ticket price and facilities
If you want to enjoy this cruise, then the ticket for this has been kept at around Rs 500 per person. The cruise will run from 9 am to 7 pm. Apart from this, the government is also considering activities like water sports, so that the experience of the people can become more fun.
What preparations have been done?
The cruise boat is completely ready and is kept at Sonia Vihar Sports Club. The boat is painted white and blue with ‘Namo Bharat’ written on it. Besides, waiting areas and ticket counters have also been made at both the places so that passengers do not face any problem.
Tourism will get a boost
This cruise service will give a new dimension to tourism in Delhi. People will now be able to enjoy walking in the river in the middle of the city, which will further improve the image of Delhi. The government hopes that this will increase both employment and business.
