Veteran Indian cinema actor Nana Patekar has passed away at the age of 75. He was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa on Thursday morning. After this, his family members immediately took him to Manilal Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to doctors, in the preliminary investigation, the cause of death has been stated to be cardiac arrest.

Dona Paula’s health deteriorated at residence, CPR given for 45 minutes in hospital
According to the information received, Nana Patekar fell unconscious after suddenly experiencing severe chest pain at his residence in Dona Paula on Thursday morning. He was immediately rushed to the nearby Manipal Hospital. The team of doctors in the emergency ward tried their best to save him, but despite continuous CPR for 45 minutes, there was no reaction in his body. The hospital administration has registered the matter as a medico-legal case (MLC) and started the post-mortem process.

Won National Award thrice, also contributed in Kargil war
Nana Patekar won the National Film Award thrice in his four-decade-long acting career for films like ‘Parinda’ (1990), ‘Krantiveer’ (1995) and ‘Agni Sakshi’ (1997). Apart from acting, his patriotism was also well known. During the Kargil war in August 1999, he served on the LoC with the Quick Response Team of the Indian Army and also worked in the military hospital. The news of his demise has sent a wave of mourning across the Hindi and Marathi film industry.
