Lightning struck the IndiGo flight coming to Ahmedabad, know what happened to 104 passengers?

According to information, Indigo flight number 6E 925 took off from Patna airport at 3:10 pm. The flight was scheduled to reach Lucknow at 4:20 PM. However, the pilot made an early landing as a precaution after the lightning incident and it was safely landed at Lucknow Airport at 4:05 PM.

A total of 104 passengers were on board the plane. After landing, all passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft. No passenger is reported to have been injured in the incident.

The aircraft was flying at an altitude of about 17 thousand feet amid bad weather. In the meantime, suddenly lightning struck the plane. The front part of the aircraft was damaged by lightning.

As the situation became critical, the pilot controlled the aircraft with his wisdom and experience and diverted it towards Lucknow airport. Then an emergency landing was made safely.

The passengers were going to Ahmedabad from Lucknow

After reaching Lucknow from Patna, the same aircraft was supposed to go from Lucknow to Ahmedabad as flight 6E 6968. However, as the plane was damaged, IndiGo arranged another plane for the passengers.

All the passengers were put on another plane and they left for Ahmedabad at around 6:22 pm.

Technical investigation of the damaged aircraft started

After the incident, the plane which was hit by lightning has been stopped at the Lucknow airport itself. Currently, a team of IndiGo engineers is conducting a technical inspection of the aircraft.

The most important thing in the entire incident was that even after being struck by lightning at a height of 17 thousand feet, the pilot controlled the situation and landed the plane safely at Lucknow airport with 104 passengers on board.
