KTR Revanth Reddy Controversy: Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Acting President of Katie Rama Rao In a serious attack on the Telangana government, it has been accused that the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy BRS MLAs have been suspended from the Legislative Assembly for suppressing the opposition’s voice over the allotment of land worth ₹200 crore to a company linked to his brother. KTR claimed that the BRS was preparing to corner the government over the Congress government’s “420 false promises” and land given to a shell company allegedly linked to the chief minister’s family.
Question on allotment of land to Chief Minister’s brother’s company
KT Rama Rao questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy whether the common young entrepreneurs of Telangana will be given similar facilities? “If a youth from the state starts a company today with a capital of just ₹1 lakh, will he get land worth ₹200 crore?” he asked. KTR alleged that the chief minister’s brother, Anmula Kondal Reddy, had set up an aerospace and defense company and partnered with an Israeli company before acquiring the 5 acres of land. He has raised questions about financial capacity and transparency in background checks in these land allotments.
Demands response from Rahul Gandhi, demands probe by central agencies
The BRS leader took up the issue with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, asking what kind of governance Congress’s slogan “Indiramma Rajyam” represents? Does it mean enriching the CM’s relatives? KTR added that if the Bharatiya Janata Party is really serious about the matter, it should bring the truth to the public by conducting an immediate inquiry by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax (IT) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
More than 20 BRS MLAs suspended during monsoon session
Over 20 BRS MLAs have been suspended for the entire session during the Monsoon session of the Telangana Assembly for disrupting the proceedings of the House and raising slogans. BRS leaders demanded a discussion on the law and order situation as well as threats to party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao. BRS MLA K. Sanjay alleged that the Congress government was running away from discussing important issues of public interest.
Suspended MLAs meet Governor
