Natural Farming: This farmer left chemical farming and adopted a new path, increased profits from cow dung and cow urine.

New Delhi. Amidst the increasing cost of farming and decreasing soil fertility, many Farmer Returning towards natural methods (Natural Farming). This method of farming, which gives better production at less expense, is becoming increasingly popular among farmers. A farmer from Gujarat has also changed the picture of his farming by adopting this change.

After receiving training and proper guidance, the farmer completely stopped using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Now he is doing farming with the help of organic resources prepared from desi cows and is earning better income than before.

Narendrabhai Hatila, a farmer from Dahod district of Gujarat, has been doing cow-based natural farming for many years. They use Jeevamrit and Ghan Jeevamrit prepared from desi cow dung and cow urine. He says that this has reduced the cost of farming and there has also been a continuous improvement in soil fertility. According to him, natural farming can be done on about 30 acres of land with the help of one desi cow.

Income increased due to five layer model

After getting training, Narendrabhai developed a five-layer model farm in his farm. Fruits, vegetables and horticultural crops are cultivated in it. Chemical fertilizers and medicines are not used in these crops. By adopting natural methods, their income along with production has also increased.

Farmers are getting government assistance

Under the Agricultural Technology Management Agency project, training and technical assistance is being provided to farmers doing natural farming (Natural Farming). Financial assistance of Rs 10,800 is also provided every year to the farmers adopting cow-based natural farming in Dhanpur area. Along with this, training is also given in preparing natural products like Jeevamrit, Ghan Jeevamrit, Agni Astra and Brahmastra.

Sustainable farming is becoming an option

Experts believe that natural farming reduces the cost of farming, improves soil quality and also helps in environmental protection. This is the reason why this model is now becoming an inspiration for other farmers and in the coming times, it is being seen as an effective option for sustainable farming.
