According to ANI report, Nepal Police said on Friday that 475 bodies have been recovered so far during the rescue operation after Bhotekoshi flood. At the same time, Nepal Tourism Board says that 667 tourists and travelers are still missing in the flood affected areas. Of these, 127 are said to be citizens of Nepal.

According to Nepal Police, 1,545 people have been injured in the accident and they have been rescued and taken for treatment. Relief and rescue operations are continuing in flood affected areas, but bad weather and difficult geographical conditions remain a challenge at many places.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the earthquake shook Longchang city in southwest China's Sichuan province, CGTN reported. Issuing an alert, Nepal Police said that a dam on the Tibet side has broken again. Nepal Police posted on X that information has been received that the water dam on the Tibet side has broken again. Therefore, all security personnel, rescue workers and common people involved in rescue and relief work are requested to remain alert immediately and move to safe places or inform others.

Nepal's Prime Minister called a cabinet meeting

On Friday, Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah called a cabinet meeting at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Darbar. After the flood, Nepali Army has intensified the rescue operation since morning to rescue the people trapped inside the tunnel of a hydropower project in Rasuwa. Meanwhile, 21 Tamil Nadu residents rescued from flood-hit areas have reached Kathmandu, and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava inquired about their well-being before returning to India, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.
