Nepal road accident: 9 injured were sent to Gorakhpur by ambulance, post mortem of mother and daughter in Nepal; Administration alert all night

Busted News Bureau Maharajganj :: The administration remained in full alert mode to bring safely the pilgrims of Maharajganj who were injured in a road accident on Thursday in Pyuthan district of Nepal. From Thursday evening till late night, Sonauli border echoed with the sirens of ambulances. On Friday morning, all the injured were admitted to BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur through 9 ambulances, where their treatment is going on.
The post-mortem of the bodies of three-year-old Kavya and her mother 30-year-old Nirmala Maurya, who died in the accident, was conducted in Nepal itself. The administration kept a constant eye on the entire incident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and has given instructions for proper treatment of the injured.
DM Santosh Kumar Sharma said that the injured have been sent to Gorakhpur Medical College for better treatment and the administrative team is coordinating at every level. ADM Dr. Prashant Kumar camped in Sonauli since Thursday evening and kept monitoring the arrangements.
It was told that 21 pilgrims from Semra Raja of Bhitauli and Sukhdevpur village of Paniyara were going to visit Swargadwari temple of Nepal. Meanwhile, in Pyuthan district, the vehicle went out of control and fell into a ditch about 30 feet deep. Two people died in the accident, while 19 passengers were injured. Of these, five injured were discharged after first aid, while 14 seriously injured have been referred to Gorakhpur.
The injured were received by SDM Farenda from Sonauli border and taken directly to the medical college. At the same time, the team of Nautanwa administration remained deployed on the border the whole night. SDM Nautanwa Naveen Prasad reached Butwal with the ambulance and took the injured to the border at around 4 in the morning, from where they were sent for further treatment.
CMO Dr. Navnath Prasad along with the health team remained at Sonauli border the whole night. He told that the trauma center and medical team have been kept on alert. The bodies of the deceased will be brought to India after necessary action.
After this incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the district, while the administration remains fully active regarding relief and treatment arrangements.
