Net Profit Surges 91% to ₹2,003 Crore as Revenue Jumps 39% With ₹1 Final Dividend Announced:

State-owned Navratna enterprise National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) has delivered an exceptional financial performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, capturing widespread attention across the corporate and investment sectors. Released following market hours, the company’s latest earnings report reveals a staggering near-91% year-on-year surge in net profit alongside a robust 39% growth in operating revenue for the June quarter. Bolstered by favorable global aluminium pricing, enhanced domestic sales volumes, and peak production milestones, the corporate board has further rewarded investors by recommending a final dividend alongside an update on its long-term expansion blueprint.

Key Financial Metrics and Strong EBITDA Expansion

During the June quarter, NALCO’s net profit skyrocketed by 90.87% to touch ₹2,003.14 crore, marking a massive leap from the ₹1,049.48 crore recorded during the same period in the previous fiscal year. Revenue from operations expanded by 39.28% to reach ₹5,302.38 crore, compared to ₹3,806.94 crore previously. The company’s underlying operating efficiency was equally impressive, with Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) surging 81.45% year-on-year to ₹2,707.50 crore. According to management, disciplined financial execution, higher output, and a conducive domestic business environment heavily contributed to these stellar financial metrics.

Record-Breaking Production Milestones and Final Dividend Update

Beyond the financial numbers, NALCO shattered multiple internal operational records during the first quarter. The company achieved its highest-ever bauxite excavation of 19.52 lakh tonnes, alongside a record-breaking production of 5.77 lakh tonnes of calcined alumina for any first quarter. Sales figures mirrored this momentum, touching 347,000 tonnes of alumina and hydrate. Recognizing this stellar growth, the NALCO Board recommended a final dividend of ₹1 per share—representing a 20% payout on its ₹5 face value—with August 24, 2026, set as the official record date. Factoring in the three prior interim dividends totaling ₹10.50 per share, the cumulative dividend for FY26 stands at an attractive ₹11.50 per share, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming 45th Annual General Meeting.
