Cigarette New Rate: People who are fond of smoking cigarettes will now have to be careful while smoking cigarettes. The prices of some cigarette brands have been increased once again. ITC has increased the prices of some of its popular cigarette brands. The new prices of Classic Connect and Gold Flake Super Star have become higher than before. After the change in tax system in February 2026, companies have increased the prices several times. According to reports, ITC has increased the price of a packet of 20 cigarettes of Classic Connect to Rs 428. Earlier its price was Rs 390. That means there has been an increase of Rs 38 per packet. That means the price has increased by about 9.74%.

The price of a pack of 10 cigarettes of Gold Flake Super Star has been increased from Rs 79 to Rs 89, which is an increase of 12.66 per cent as per dealer check.
According to reports, 40 percent GST was imposed on cigarettes and other tobacco products from February 1, and a new Additional Excise Duty Structure was also implemented. ITC and other cigarette manufacturing companies later increased the prices of many brands to reduce the high tax burden. Nomura had earlier said the purpose of increasing ITC prices was to mitigate the impact of tax changes, while warning that higher prices could put pressure on volumes.
This new increase is notable because it follows earlier price changes rather than reflecting the sector's first reaction to the new tax system.
