New flight of startup in UP! Yogi government's new policy will stand on six pillars, special focus on AI and deep-tech

Lucknow, Read: Yogi government has implemented Startup Policy-2026 to convert the innovation of youth into business and to make the state a startup hub. Under this, infrastructure, financial assistance, talent development, linkage with industries, publicity and institutional cooperation have been made six major pillars. In the new policy, special emphasis has been laid on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing and deep-tech. The government aims to provide resources, guidance, access to capital and markets to youth, students and researchers to start new ventures.

According to Sumit Mahajan, CEO of UP Startup Mission, through the policy, there is an effort to advance the youth as job seekers as well as entrepreneurs. Under this, cooperation between startups, investors, incubators and industries will be increased along with encouraging new enterprises as per local needs in the state.

Under the second, opportunities for financial assistance will be increased through government schemes and private investors. The third pillar aims to create talent through education, skill development and training.

Under the fourth pillar, there will be arrangements to connect new enterprises to the market by increasing cooperation between startups, industries, educational institutions and the government. In the fifth pillar, focus will be on giving recognition to the state's startup ecosystem at national and international level and developing partnerships. The sixth pillar will strengthen institutional capacity, stakeholder participation and cooperation mechanisms.

Startups, investors, incubators, mentors and centers of excellence will be able to register on this. Information about policies, government schemes, incentives, incubation centers and programs related to startups will also be available at one place. Through the portal, applications and claims for incentive amount can be sent online to the concerned nodal agency. Management Information System (MIS) will also be developed to monitor the implementation of the policy along with the process of application evaluation and approval.

Emphasis on training, grievance redressal and networking

The portal will provide access to training programs related to entrepreneurship development, startup management, financial literacy, regulatory compliance, intellectual property rights, technology commercialization and market access. For this, experts and supporting institutions will be connected.
