Delhi Road Safety: The traffic police have launched a new feature for people traveling on Delhi’s roads. Now, drivers will be able to access accident-prone areas in advance through Google Maps and MapMyIndia while driving.
Alerts will be available through mapping platform
This initiative aims to reduce road accidents and make drivers more alert. When a driver approaches an accident-prone area, they will receive an alert through a digital mapping platform. This will enable drivers to reduce their speed in time and drive safely.
You will be able to make necessary changes in driving
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, this facility will provide information about areas where the risk of road accidents is high. By receiving this information in advance, drivers will be able to make necessary changes to their driving and reduce the likelihood of accidents.
Maximum speed limit information
Additionally, the digital map platform will also display information about the maximum speed limits for the respective roads. This will allow drivers to know the permitted speeds on the roads they are traveling on.
Access to information on digital platforms
The Delhi Traffic Police launched this feature in partnership with Google India and MapMyIndia. This will bring important road safety information to the digital platform, providing drivers with timely alerts during their travels.
Promoting responsible and smart driving
Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic Headquarters) Vijayant Goyal Arya stated that the initiative aims to provide timely road safety information to the public. He added that this will promote safe, responsible, and smart driving.
