New method of banking fraud: Neither call nor message came, yet the bank account is empty, scary news from Ajmer.

Ajmer: A sensational case of online fraud has come to light from Ajmer, Rajasthan, which has raised big questions on the banking system. Here, around Rs 5 lakh was wiped out from the bank account of an elderly woman, Sushila, without sharing any OTP or card details. The most surprising thing is that the victim had not given her banking details to anyone, yet in the blink of an eye her entire life’s earnings disappeared.

Pai-pai was arranged for daughter’s wedding. The victim Sushila told that she had saved this huge amount with great difficulty for her daughter’s marriage. Wedding preparations were going on at home, but this theft at the last moment has turned the family’s happiness into mourning. Sushila says that she had deposited this money in Indian Overseas Bank for safe keeping, but now she has to run from pillar to post for her own deposited capital.

Serious allegations of collusion leveled against the bank In this entire matter, Sushila has directly accused the employees of Indian Overseas Bank of negligence and collusion. He says that when he did not receive any message or call, then how was the bank’s system breached? The victim suspects that someone from inside the bank has been dishonest with her. At present no clear answer has been received from the bank administration on this, due to which Sushila’s suspicion has deepened further.

Case registered in cyber police station, investigation started As soon as she got information about money missing from her account, the victim immediately sought help from the police and cyber cell. A complaint about this mysterious fraud has been lodged in the cyber police station. Police are now examining the transaction history and internal servers of the bank to find out how the money was transferred without OTP and without card. Police officials say that this could be a case of ‘technical fraud’ or internal collusion, efforts are on to get to the bottom of it.
