Porsche 911 GT3: What is the specialty of this speed machine

The new Porsche 911 GT3 has been designed completely keeping in mind aerodynamics. The car has large vents at the front and a huge fixed wing (spoiler) at the rear, which keeps the car glued to the road at high speed. To keep the weight down, the company has used light carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) bonnet and light aluminum wheels. Customers can also opt for the signature Weissach Package, which adds magnesium wheels and more carbon fiber parts, by spending an additional ₹43.90 lakh.

To give the complete racing experience inside the cabin of the car, 4-way adjustable sports seats, a new 12.6-inch curved digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen have been provided. It’s a completely driver-centric setup, with features like performance telemetry that records lap times on the track.

How powerful is the engine and what is its top speed?

Even in today’s era of turbocharged cars, Porsche has retained its old heritage in this model. The Porsche 911 GT3 has a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six petrol engine.

  • This powerful engine generates maximum power of 510 horsepower (hp) and torque of 450 Newton meters (Nm).
  • This engine can rev at a massive power of up to 9,000 rpm.
  • For transmission, customers will get the option of 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
  • In terms of speed, its automatic variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, whereas the manual variant takes 3.9 seconds to reach this speed. Its maximum top speed is 311 km/h.
