Next Gen i20: Hyundai Motor has released the first official teaser of the next-generation model of its popular premium hatchback i20. The company is going to unveil this car globally next month. The emphasis has been on making the new Hyundai i20 more stylish, premium and technologically advanced than before.
You will get a completely new design
It is clear from the teaser image that the design of the new i20 will be more sporty and muscular than the current model. Arrowhead-shaped LED headlights have been provided in the front of the car, which give it an attractive look. Along with this, Y-shaped LED DRLs and connected LED light bars will give it a modern identity.
The cabin will be premium
Major changes can also be seen in the interior of the new Hyundai i20. According to reports, it will have a large curved display, in which the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster will be combined together. Apart from this, premium features like 360-degree camera, wireless connectivity and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) can also be included.
engine options
In the global market, the new i20 will be offered with petrol and mild-hybrid petrol engine options. The company is also working on its electric version.
The existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options are likely to be continued in the Indian market. These engines provide a balance of better mileage and strong performance.
When will it be launched?
The global debut of the new generation Hyundai i20 is expected next month. After this it can be launched in the Indian market. After launch, it will compete with premium hatchback cars like Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz.
