Local Toll Pass: NHAI started 2 new facilities, now make toll pass from RajmargYatra app sitting at home; Know the complete method
Highway Local Toll Pass:National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched two new digital services on RajmargYatra mobile app for the convenience of highway travelers. Now people can apply online for Digital Local Pass and avail FASTag and many highway related services through AI based MargMitra Help Centre.
NHAI says that these new facilities will significantly reduce the long queues, paperwork and waiting time at toll plazas.
Now make Digital Local Pass sitting at home
Under the new Digital Local Pass facility, people living within a radius of 20 kilometers from the toll plaza can now apply for monthly local toll pass from home through RajmargYatra app. During the validity of this pass, eligible users will be able to travel unlimitedly from the respective toll plazas.
At present this facility has been started at Mundka Bakkarwala Toll Plaza located on Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), Delhi. NHAI said that in the coming months it will also be implemented at other toll plazas in the country.

How will eligibility be checked?
When applying for Digital Local Pass, the app will verify the information through the government platform after taking the user’s permission. For:
- Address verification will be done through DigiLocker.
- Vehicle registration will be checked from VAHAN database.
- The linked FASTag will also be verified.
- Through GIS technology, it will be checked whether the applicant lives within a radius of 20 kilometers from the toll plaza or not.
MargMitra AI Help Center will provide immediate assistance
NHAI has also launched MargMitra Help Center in RajmargYatra app. It is an AI based digital assistant, which answers questions related to highways and FASTag. The most important thing is that MargMitra supports 22 Indian languages. Users can get help by typing or speaking in their own language. You will get help in these services through MargMitra:
- You can get information related to FASTag Recharge.
- You can ask questions related to FASTag KYC.
- You can check Refund Status.
- You can get information about Annual Pass and Local Pass.
- Can lodge a complaint.
- The status of the complaint can be tracked in real time.
- If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can also appeal.
- You can see FASTag Blacklist Status.
- You can get information about Pending E-Notices.
- You can report broken vehicles, encroachments or road safety issues on the highway.
